Forthcoming gigs.

Next 2 saturdays, couple of great little all dayers in Stockton;
Well Munro delivered, great day, and unbelievable value for bands on show;
Second time ive seen M60, this was better venue for sound and enjoyed them much more, proper swirly Manchester guiter vibe (think The Music..),
The Kairos, dunno what to say, 3/4 times ive seen them and these guys are simply superb, great songs, great vocals, id say they are the best band ive seen in these small venues for a long time - they have to make it bigger imo,
Michael Gallagher, jangly guitar fun, not great but not bad at all,
The Clause headlined, and again similar to the Kairos, have some big big songs, had crowd proper jumping by the end, great band.

Looking forward to next Sat, not seen Pastel before but heard good things, and i know Shambolics and The Covasettes are both quality, Utopiates were good last time seen them as well
£17 for 11 bands!

In Copenhagen for a couple of days before going to Berlin to see Springsteen. Anyway picked up a couple of Iron Maiden tickets on viagogo (fucked up on the fees, got stung big time) so should see them tomorrow night providing the tickets come through ok

Old fart alert!

Had the misfortune to see Charli xcx last night. Jesus she’s brutal. I know it’s not aimed at me but this was just 80 minutes of a young one
prancing around the stage. Not a single other person on stage with her. Fair play though. Lots of moolah for Charli!

On a side note Fontaines, anohni, glass beams and Caribou were great

Was thinking about going to see them in September - they're touring Laid in full. Not seen them since the early 90s - are they still a quality turn?
They're in America for all of September.

They're still class but if all you're interested in is the hits then you might be a bit disappointed. They don't tend to pander to anyone and play what they want, which might well include some obscure b sides.

Perfect for you then and worth a watch. Not sure about them playing Laid in full though, it doesn't seem something that they'd do.

the songs Laid and to a lesser extent Say Something are well-known over here. Particularly Laid, so that's probably why

Couple of tickets available for the Lovely Eggs at Pop Recs tomorrow. They're just asking for a donation to charity. I've had a ticket from them this way before (for Billy Bragg) so know you can trust them.
