Chris Wilder

I don’t understand the tears over VAR being used.
Surely it’s an introduction if you’re going to have it in the PL anyway
It's a match to get into the PL at the end of the day and the money to riding on it is game changing, fuck 'em.

His comments about us after the game were fine, especially when emotions will be running high - I was expecting him to spit his dummy out more.

Overall though, he’s an arsehole.

Yeah I thought he was sound after the game. I was surprised, fairplay to him. When they beat us 1-0 at bramall lane he was acting like a proper nacka then.

What Wilder basically said is that he wanted the correctly disallowed goal to have stood despite it being correctly disallowed. If it was a controversial decision I'd have understood his moaning but it corrected a clear mistake.

The VAR stuff over the final is a bit ridiculous really.

So whats the claim? VAR shouldn't be used and they should have been 2-0 up despite the offside player blocking Pattos view? How would they have felt with the shoe on the other foot in that situation exactly? Had it have been used incorrectly or used to make a wrong decision they might have a point, but for me it was used for exactly what it was supposed to. Perhaps they should have taken their other chances or defended their lead more resolutely, because blaming VAR is a cop out.

It's been in the play-off final for the last 4 years as well so it's not like it should be a surprise. Interesting that it's not till it benefits us that it becomes an issue
I’ve always thought it’s an issue that it’s used in the final and not the entire competition
