If he’s got 3yrs left on his contract, our only option really. Unless someone wants to sign him on a free. But I’m guessing they’d have to give him a 3yr contract otherwise he’ll be jeopardising his financial security by accepting less.

Could SAFC offer Poveda on loan to Peterborough United as part of a deal that brings Kwame Poku to us.
I realise that it could effectively be £2.5m for Poku without Poveda as the makeweight and £3.0m with Poveda. However, Poveda is unlikely to reach the standards required of a player in the Premier League, whereas Poku at least still has the potential to develop to that standard.

Nobody really knows. He’s injury prone, hasn’t played many minutes for us, seems to club hop quite a bit and was apparently involved in a minor disciplinary thing when he turned up 20 mins late on a match day. Hasn’t been in the squad since then

Tbh he'd probably be alright if he could stay fit. My understanding is that we have prioritised getting players like him, Huggins, Seelt and Alese fit rather than trying to get them back before the end of the season- as well as effectively telling our first team to treat the last 7 league games or so as preseason friendlies.
He has been a disappointment however, because of his fitness- similar to Samed, he just wasn't able to string enough games together to get into form. I think Jobe leaving also makes it more likely he will leave, as we will probably use the money to get a right winger to compete with Roberts. I just don't see Poveda getting a look in- we will also probably let him go on a free/nominal fee like Connolly so he will probably go to a championship club. Maybe Wednesday.
