Best - Scarborough has an old fashioned charm to it, as does Trent Bridge which is also located perfectly, and I love everything about Lords except the price. It's like a festival within a ground and completely unique.

Worst - going back to my early youth but I remember the Racecourse Ground being very limited.
 

Trent Bridge my fave in this country.
Rose bowl the worst.

Overseas my fave is Galle, my least fave is Sydney (they the only two I've done).

Probably need to clarify professional grounds. Some charming outgrounds stage professional cricket. Cheltenham, Arundel and Sedburgh top ones I've been to. Trent Bridge favourite test ground.

Went to the Oval on the Wembley weekend and thought it was class. I agree with Trent Bridge too, love sitting on the top tier of the Radcliffe Road End. Outgrounds wise, Sedbergh is great as too Scarbados. Chesterfield seems to be very popular with the Derbyshire folk.

As for bad ones, I’m not too keen on the Rose Bowl, Bristol or Sofia Gardens
 
Best Chesterfield absolutely love that ground, just idyllic.

Worst Maybe controversial but I don't particularly like Edgbaston. Really showing its age apart from that new stand, but it never gets the sun so always f***ing freezing.

Went to the Oval last summer for the first time in years and the redevelopment of the ground has put it up there.

Only been to the Rose Bowl once and it took ages to get out with it being in a middle of nowhere and no decent public transport, so I'll put that as the worst.
 
Obviously I'm biased re. The Oval, so I'll leave that out - but I do think it's one of the best cricket grounds in the world these days.

Best:-
County Ground: New Road, Worcester. Beautiful ground, incredibly friendly locals, the tea hut, the idyllic walk into the town centre over the medieval bridge
Test Ground: Trent Bridge. Can't explain it but it has the charm and feel of an outground, whilst all the amenities of a Test ground
Outground: Ignoring the racist locals and the sea fret, Scarbados is always an enjoyable jaunt.


Worst:
County ground: Taunton. Just a mishmash of random stands
Test: Rose Bowl. Completely devoid of any soul, any atmosphere, and completely in the middle of nowhere.
Controversial but a special mention for Lords - yes it's historic, but the stuffy feel, airy and windy new stands and the general feeling of not being wanted in there overrides it all
Outground: Beckenham. Nothing to do with it being K*nt- it's basically just the Rose Bowl as an outground. Prefabricated everything, no soul, always a flat and lifeless pitch, and K*nt always insist on playing us there, which is a shame as I adore C*nterbury.
FWIW, Guildford is also a woeful outground - I miss having games at the Whitgift.

Newlands also my favourite overseas. You missed out ‘grass banks’ as a plus point though.
Worst overseas: Chennai. One side stinks as next to an open sewer, crap amenities and can’t move around the grpund
Best UK: Edgbaston (Hollies)
Worst UK: None really, they all have a charm. Not done Rose Bowl though.
 
Not really done a bad ground to be honest. Truth be told in parts our ground isn't great considering it's an international ground. Absolutely loved The MCG albeit it was a state cricket game, it just had the wow factor along with Lords for the final Vs Warwickshire. The grounds I've been to all have something good about them.

I did think about putting that tbh but probably not many on here have had the pleasure of a grass bank. Palekelle has huge ones.

Off to Malahide in September for a T20 game to tick another ground/country off.
 
Best - Lords
Worst - Gateshead always bloody freezing.

Gabba & MCG the biggest but saw Colly make 96 in a test and 2 match winning tons in ODI’s v New Zealand and Australia brilliant.

Never done a test at Lords just Durham matches.

If there's a better option for cheap beer anywhere than cans from the garage across the road at Guildford then I have yet to find it.

Plus it's a 10 minute walk to the station and to numerous food and beverage options in the town centre including a Spoons that used to be a fire engine factory.

Guildford has a lot going for it.
