Yeah he's a good red ball cricketer with plenty of room to improve. Also he'd be more to replace Carse than those guys.

Why I was surprised we signed him up for the Blast as he's not been used in that format.

Seems mental Somerset might let him go.

He was in the squad for our game.

Probably a money thing as he's barely been with us this season. Unlike the test nations that cover the wages when on international duty I doubt the Dutch can offer the same protection.

Would really like to know what has gone on there. I know it was mentioned he was hoping to improve his franchise options and he'd opted out of the CC.

But then not being picked at all for Durham surely won't help that goal.

Do the Dutch not have central contracts?

Personally, I just think that he thinks that short form cricket is his game and doesn't really want to play first class. Fair enough, it's a free country **.
