Kohli

Important for whom? Not for English cricket surely? Fuck him the bell whiff

Eh?

Important for world cricket and yea English cricket

If India lose interest in test cricket and just want to expand the IpL then it’s all fucked

People like him have and will be vital in keeping their interest in it

This is an incredibly stupid post like no offence.

Oh non taken. My bias against him and his cricket board probably clouds my judgement.

I still don't see how what he says has any relevance to English cricket though. We have enough people in world cricket sucking him off without any of our lot joining in.

India is not cricket. Contrary to what the BCCI want you to think.
I think the point is that it’s important for high profile top cricketers to promote test cricket and its importance.

Which Kholi does, especially when more and more are giving up test or international cricket earlier
Which is fair enough. Still think he's a cockwomble though.

It’s nothing to do with “sucking him off”

He’s a big reason why India are so involved in test cricket as much

If India, who basically control the ICC, thing test cricket is a load of shite you’d soon realize how immature this comment is like

We need people to play you know. And the IpL already eats into our summer as it is

Except you kinda are mate. You're overstating/exaggerating his and the BCCI's importance in world cricket. So what they make the most money? Money doesn't buy you class.

If they pulled out of Test cricket tomorrow, you think that cricket would fold or shutdown like? No it wouldn't. Only the people who place money above all would think otherwise. Test cricket would carry on like it has before IPL's money showed up. We owe them nothing. Especially not admiration or gratitude. Fuck them.

They literally run the ICC mate

Jay Shah is the ICC president
Very immature response like.

What, so that makes it okay then?

It might be immature comment, granted. but at least I can recognise that BCCI and Kohli for that matter are not the 'be all and end all' when it comes to cricket.

This pandering to them is beyond the pale now.

The sooner the wider cricketing world gets off its knees with their hands out and tongue out of their arse the better imo. Cricket would be better for it.

I dunno what you mean pandering? Makes what ok?

You’ve gone a massive rant about things that have absolutely nothing to do with what I said.

I don't like the BCCI and by extension their cricket team which includes gobshite Kohli.

I took umbrage with your post suggesting Kohli's importance. Somehow conflating what he says to the health of test cricket in general.

How is what he says important to the wider cricketing world outside of India?

Kohli isn't fit to tie Tendulkar' bootlaces
Apart from Kohli being the best white ball batsman ever?

Daft to suggest he's not

They aren’t on the same level as him in ODI format. That can’t be debated

Aye. How ya guess
Well obviously it can be debated because we're doing it

Kohli is a great ODI player one of the best, his stats can't be disputed. But, let's face it he grew up in an era where pitches, bats, rules literally everything in the batters favour. Sachin did not.

Sachin faced arguably better bowlers in his generation too. If you go off pure stats for the best ever, then you've already lost the argument in my mind. They're averages, and numbers, simple tools.

There are a lot of intangibles with Tendulkar. Characteristics that cant be measured with just numbers. If you've watched them both bat in the flesh which I have. There is no comparison.

Kohli might be best of a generation (even that is debatable. Root for me) Tendulkar is best of all time. Just ask the Great Don Bradman god rest his soul. Different levels.
