After the second default, players can give notice to terminate their contract. Don’t know if any of them will but they could lose some valuable players if the salary isn’t paid.

This is exactly why I’m a big fan of what they’ve done so far and how they’ve run the place. I hope promotion and extra revenue doesn’t mean we just start throwing money at it like we did under Short. Recipe for disaster if it goes wrong. It isn’t being unambitious, I am ambitious and want us to do as well as we can. I just want us to be run well and sensibly so we never find ourselves in that situation again. It was after all exactly what sent us to the third division and nobody wants that again surely. We must have been very close back in the day.
Crazy to think how quickly the new owner has turned it around and we are financially stable
Was thinking this the other day, when KLD came in the club must’ve been absolutely feathering dipping into the redWe must have been very close back in the day.

In the case of Saudi Arabia, it was the Prime Minister who intervened and told the premier league to push it through.....Saudis threatened to withdraw billions of pounds worth or contracts otherwise.Who is making decisions about fit and proper ownership?

When are they going to be held to account over handing cultural institutions over to these people?
Spot on..also look how much is going out of the game with agent payments it's discussing...The thing is football is broken, it’s pretty much not sustainable outside of the premier league but the big clubs won’t allow football to be fully regulated because it doesn’t suit the top lot. I mean if it were don’t think Chelsea would’ve gotten away with the creative stuff they e done the past few yearsselling the women’s side for £200m etc. it’s going one way and we will see many more burys in the future. However players have also brought it on themselves let’s be honest the biggest cost in football is player wages we’ve went from the top stars getting good wages to now bang average players making ten times the average fans weekly wage even at championship level. It can’t go on much longer and with the premier league trying to make it a closed shop I fear the pyramid as it is won’t be the same in 20 years.
The thing is football isn’t sustainable outside the premier league. The drop off outside of it is so big it’s why we’ve had clubs like forest spending like they have to stay up. We won’t do that but we also won’t do it completely on the cheap imho. There has to be a balance but the clock is ticking on all those outside of the premier league. I mean we are run up there with one of the best clubs outside the premier league. We had a healthy wage bill far from the top and far from the bottom we recruit well etc etc and have one of the best academies out there yet we were still posting losses of what was the last £8m?. This from a club with a massive fan base, 40k or so average and being on tv a hell of a lot. If we are still losing such figures it just shows how unsustainable it is outside the top flight. This is exactly why I’m a big fan of what they’ve done so far and how they’ve run the place. I hope promotion and extra revenue doesn’t mean we just start throwing money at it like we did under Short. Recipe for disaster if it goes wrong.
