2 derby defeats

All this tripe about Newcastle are not Newcastle is just pathetic. Of course they are and it’s the first game we will all look for when the fixtures come out.

Can we beat them, of course we can. Will we stay up, of course we will.
Yeh, absolutely.

Fixtures drop - straight for their two dates.

Ehhhh? 🤔
No to finishing 10th.... 😱😱
That’s not what I’ve said.

No to taking 2 Derby defeats and 17th, finishing 10th and winning one is an alternative. It was a semi-sarcastic comment about how the OP asks if we’d accept 2 defeats and a 17th but doesn’t actually tell us what the alternatives are.

Fuck them. It's just another game. I think there's fair argument that the old attitude of "whatever happens as long as we beat them" stinks and has probably held us back in years gone by. It's a huge game up here but it's not the be all and end all.

I’m not expecting us to beat them, they should with the amount of money and experience they have in their squad. They used to stand for their City, now they’re just Newcastle in name.

Still want to beat them like.

Next year will be mega hyped but this is a dying/ dead derby. Boro are the remaining proper NE club who we’re more likely to slug it out with in the next decade or two.

Don’t get too emotionally invested in this one cos the Saudi state are unlikely to give us many wins in the years to come either.

It's a win win for us IMO. Win, great. If we lose, they should be beating us, comfortably. The pressure is all on them. I said when they got taken over, the nerves and atmosphere leading up to it would never be the same. The cup game did not feel like a derby for me
