Forthcoming gigs.

Unwound at Brudenell Social Club in Leeds
Was at the Troxy last night seeing these. Sound wasn't great, but LOUD. The mate I went with, an older chap who normally likes Pavlovs Dog, Zappa and Porcupine Tree baled out after 4 songs. He said, "are you enjoying this? I just don't get it...it's not for me this...." and he buggered off!

I had a decent time, Without A Sound is not my favourite DJ album by any means and I wish they'd done some or most rather than just banging the album out, running through a few oldies (and not Sludgefeast, the bastards!) and vanishing.
Your mate paid the thick end of 40 quid and baled after 4 songs...what was he expecting? Without a sound isn't one of my favourite DJ albums either but the gigs were advertised as an anniversary tour so expected them to play the whole record.

To be fair to the fella, and bear in mind he is from Preston, he came along as A) he's retired and loves music (plays about 4 instruments to a good standard) and B) he cannot turn down a day on the lash, so we started at the Prospect of Whitby on the Thames in Wapping at 2pm or so and I had to get him to pace himself throughout the ensuing pub crawl.

He did apologise for baling the day after but said he'd had a cracking time APART from the gig. The sound was poor, mind.

The Lovely Eggs access for their Autumn tour. They're going to make it as special as they can, so it'll be interesting to see who they have supporting:

OCTOBER

NOVEMBER

£45 for standing is ok for an arena , Leeds arena is great too
Weird, when I was looking at the presale, it said £55.

Seats are £55 I think

Avril is at Madison Square Garden tonight. All I can think of at work today is how much I should be there on top of thinking about what I was doing this time last week. :(
