Shearer talking shite

It's okay they got their wish.
What wish is that? Hopefully your idiotic post was removed.
If you want to be up in court on a libel charge that's entirely up to you. However, I'd prefer you used your own social media account rather than bringing this website down with you.

It’s very strange but there seems to be a completely different perception of this match between those watching inside the stadium and those who watched on TV.

Is this unusual?

People watching on the telly, general consensus seems to be that we were outplayed for 75 minutes, scored and the game changed.

Inside the ground - we were very nervous in the first half, but got into the game after the disallowed goal. It was then fairly even until half time - I’m not denying we needed half time more than them.

Second half, the nerves had gone and it was a pretty even opening seven minutes, then the subs. Once Roberts game on (despite a poor first contribution) he got straight into the game and from then on we were the better team.

I thought we were more dominant in the second half than they were in the first, and especially after the equaliser. They then panicked. And I felt we were largely in control and more likely to score again.

Not having at all all that they were batters or in any way lucky.

I know my view of the game differs from most but I just found it a really uncomfortable watch and didn’t feel like we had much to offer going forward until the subs/first goal. I felt like they were far more likely to score than we were and that seems to be how a lot of neutrals saw it too.

If the VAR goal had stood (it would have in any of the previous 48 games) it could have got really embarrassing. Maybe that skewed my thinking a bit?

All that matters is we came out on the right side of the key moments.
It could have got embarrassing?
Or we could have fought back in the second half and scored 2 goals.
Oh wait..

This wasnt like a boxing day lunch time kick off hoping to see some beautiful football played. Winner takes all do it anyway you can, we won thats all that mattered.

Sheffield had a spell where they were much stronger than us early on.
Later on we had a spell where we were much stronger than them.
That’s how football games often go.
Baldy bellwhiff obviously knows little about it.

Alan Shearers opinion on the playoff final is as valid as anyone else’s. His natural bias is probably balanced by the fact he’s an ex professional footballer and is now paid to express his opinion based on years of experience.

And he’s only saying what a lot of other people are saying.

Maybe it’s time to be magnanimous in victory and lose a bit of the sensitivity to perceived criticism. Because if one doesn’t, next season is going to be pretty tough, emotionally.
Hello Alan
