The fact that we chased this gnome all summer, and paid fairly decent money for him, gives me some reservation about speakman's judgement. Hopefully, he'll have learned something from some of the poor recruitments.

I don’t think there’s much need for balance though, he’s got a squad that cost 18 million to the premier league, it’s an unreal job and a great appointment of RLB

I don’t think people fully appreciate what we’ve achieved, we’ve absolutely no right to be where we are with our budget

Like this. Just no need. Our recruitment has been the best in the league by an absolute mile
 
Lad is never a forward at top or near top level, just hasn’t got the physical attributes for it. Always looked like a midfielder being asked to play out of position to me.
 
At least he wants to play football. I think we all had high hopes for him in the championship. Always tried, looked technically good, but didn't look like a striker at all and not good enough to compete for a place on the wing.
