Shearer talking shite

No matter what ANY of them say, us winning the playoffs has pissed on their chips a bit after what they've achieved. Maybe not a lot, but a little bit, and that'll do for me.
Aye cause they spent half a billion of oil money sports washing the Saudis to win a league cup. If anything they have underachieved since being took over, even if they have spent wisely on the players they have brought in.

On the otherside we weren't meant to do what we've done on about 15 million quid. You cant beat the feeling of doing it the proper way rather than selling out for a bit of tin.

There all over social media mate biting at anything Sunderland. If the shoe was on the other foot and we’d won a cup and got champions league the mags would literally be the last thing on my mind. They down play it which makes it even funnier but I honestly think they’re completely obsessed with us. Most Sunderland fans me included hate the fuckers and don’t mind admitting so. However if we’d had their season id be too busy being happy to give a fuck what they were doing.
yeah i find it magnificent to see it all to be honest, just end up laughing it them, it's driving them mad.

Downie brings to mind Richard Harris's letter to Michael Caine in which the former demolished the latter by describing him thus:

“An over-fat, flatulent, 62-year-old windbag. A master of inconsequence masquerading as a guru, passing off his vast limitations as pious virtues.”

I posted the above in the Downie thread. It also applies to Shearer.

People on the match thread were slating us and wanting our manager sacked.
We could be 3-0 up and this would still happen. The match thread is hardly an example of objective and sensible balanced views. Good for curing low blood pressure though 😂

So called “nice guy Beheddie” couldn’t even wish us luck the eve of the game. 😔 They really are full of spite.

Indeed
Would a nice guy like Eddie, be happy fronting for Saudi's? Especially one as educated as him, even though his NDA means he has to pretend to be ignorant of his employers treatment of anybody they disagree with.

Alan Shearers opinion on the playoff final is as valid as anyone else’s. His natural bias is probably balanced by the fact he’s an ex professional footballer and is now paid to express his opinion based on years of experience.

And he’s only saying what a lot of other people are saying.

Maybe it’s time to be magnanimous in victory and lose a bit of the sensitivity to perceived criticism. Because if one doesn’t, next season is going to be pretty tough, emotionally.
Glad Sunderland were promoted as that was 6 points for "us". Not very professional in my opinion, in fact, a very unprofessional attempt humour.

I always hated Shearer

However I was talking to a bloke who was the year above him at Soton Academy. He told me 2 things

1. He was a class above everyone there. Any drill - left foot, right foot he just nailed it

2. He was one of the most supportive / encouraging players there and a real leader

Kind of changed my opinion of him if I’m honest

Nobody is disputing he was a good player, he just is and will always be an utter bellend.
