Boro thread

Not at all, well done on promotion. Great recruitment and clearly a decent managerial choice. Gives the whole of the championship (including Steve Gibson) hope.
Absolutely. In reality I think after our very strong start the only difference between us and you was in moments, they all went our way. I do think Gibson should have told Latte Lath to wait until the summer mind, combining that with being luckier with Doak's fitness and it could have easily been different.

Yeah our January business killed us. Shocked me how poor it was, disheartening tbh. Getting Giles back showed a lack of real thought too.

No idea how we will do, football and the championship is so hard to predict. We may click or we may have a new manager by October.

I go to quite a few away games. Huddersfield and Hull definitely have sung it. I can't recall you singing it at Roker Park much?

Hull may have replaced it with your getting mauled by the tigers 👍🏼

Incorrect. It been known on OneBoro too (where I post) definitely a Sunderland fan off here does
You are wrong marra -hence why you probably add “ much “
Just check the 1985 milk cup final marra -it’s all there and in colour too !
Loud and proud
Wish I could post a link but you tube -Mackftm-with 154,000 views “ Sunderland fans loudest singing “-will put ya rite marra

Well known myth 😂
This I was at school and there were tickets available but they had to be payed for
I'm referring to them doing it once and the context was that it was due to a boycott against the owner. I dislike them but acknowledge they have excellent support.

Sunderland are also well supported but many of your own supporters admitted that you regularly used to give tickets away the last time you were in the Premier League.
Absolute cack

A thread about Boro with 6k posts, I’m glad you don’t care about us lads 👍👍👍👍
Yes very odd, SAFC forum with a thread going back more than two year with most of the posts being from Boro fans. As long as you adhere to the rules everyone is welcome.

Smoggys are Yorkshire not north east
North of the Tees North East
South of the Tees Yorkshire
Sorry to upset you Hank but Middlesbrough is officially in the North East England.

England’s North East covers the history and culture of North East England featuring the historic counties of County Durham and Northumberland along with Northern Yorkshire. The site includes Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, North and South Tyneside, Sunderland and Wearside as well as the Tees Valley and neighbouring parts of Yorkshire.

North East England is one of nine official It has three administrative levels below regional level: , or , and . There are also multiple divisions without administrative functions; , emergency services ( and ), and . The largest settlements in the region are , , , , , and .

Fan boycott 😂. God you're not falling for that guff are you? They stopped going because they were bored of lower table PL finishes.
Must admit, I've never bothered to look into it and can't remember. Was there ever actually an organised boycott? Like did fans groups/ fanzines etc get together and ask fans to stop turning up? If so, then fair enough, it's a boycott. If there was nothing organised then there's no chance 10,000 randomly all decided to boycott purely against the ownership.

If its just a load of people stopped turning up then wheres the evidence it was a boycott rather than people just getting sick of being shit? I hear our league one crowds mentioned, but no one says the people who stopped attending then were boycotting, even though we'd have had much more reason to do so than the mags ever had.

Genuinely, if fans groups were calling for an organised boycott and attendances dropped off as a direct result then I'll say fair enough. If not, if attendances just tailed off naturally, then they stopped going because they were bored of being shit and, when they suddenly wanted to come back because they had blood money, the "we were boycotting" was an easy excuse to try and make themselves feel better about being glory seekers who abandoned their club
