ExactlyIf the figures I'm hearing are correct, we have just won a game worth £220 mill. Surely that is profit against the bottom line?
How the fuck can we lose money unless we just piss that up the wall?

So Leeds only have £10m to spend?
It's far harder. Players will need to have controlled loans at Championship level first I think. Pointless loaning them any lower really. From what I've seen watching the age groups this year, only Abdullahi looks close to going straight into a Pl squad. Neil looks an even better prospect, but he's still very young.
The correct players for the PL cost tens of millions of pounds each.We don’t need to spend 100s of millions on players, we just need to sign the correct players like they have been all along.

We could spend £219,999,999 and still not be losing money.

We can spend more than £60m this summer. No club pays for a transfer entirely up front. The correct players for the PL cost tens of millions of pounds each.
That's over 4 years. If the figures I'm hearing are correct, we have just won a game worth £220 mill. Surely that is profit against the bottom line?

Good knowledge if true.Oiur limit next season will be £61m, not £105m. It's a rolling three year calculation, and the first two are based on the Championship limit of £13m/season.
1/3 have an outside chance of staying up …2 promoted sides will go back downWasn't it only 3 years ago all 3 promoted sides stayed up?
That's over 4 years.
Makes it even harder for newly promoted teams
Not the kind of thing you want to hear from your avatar!Sounds like we’re pretty fucked on the transfer incomings front then
This is surely the critical point. Assuming we generally offer on average say 4 year contracts then straightaway, any transfer fee outlay is amortised over the 4 years so in theory, we may commit to spending say £100m on transfers alone but in that given year, it'll be on the books as £25m for accounting purposes, at a very simplistic levelWe can spend more than £60m this summer. It's a losses cap, not a spending cap.Sadly, you’re correct. We’re heavily hamstrung - deliberately. All about the prem maintaining its wealth. We’ll have to sell a few. I think one of Rigg/Jobe/Neil will have to go.
I think that’s pretty much it. Added we’ve sold Watson and potentially Jobe, there’ll be enough money to strengthen. As usual it comes down to getting most of the transfers right rather than the amount you spend. This is surely the critical point. Also with the desire and hunger to succeedAll he has to do is identify 8-12 players that are significantly undervalued and overlooked by the top 5 leagues in world football but are good enough to play in the most competitive one, and ensure they don't cost much.
