SoL To Undergo Multi-Million-Pound Investment Programme

Sadly, most of them will still stay in Newcastle, obsessed by the Bigg Market and Quayside. Up to now, it's been older, more sensible fans staying in Sunderland (the Hilton gets plenty, and presumably the Holiday Inn will.

Dortmund style red wall.
Yeh that was the point of the campaign. I think most regular away day travellers would welcome a change rather than visiting Newcastle again. Bit of a info campaign showing the new options with easy access via the footbridge would attract enough to make it worthwhile imo

We can also put a further tier on the west stand if needs be. Obviously that’s after our champions league triumph.

Given how football is expanding, 63,000 may well be needed if we progress.

Thanks to Sir Bobs foresight, with the SOL, we are the most perfect club for investment in world football at the moment.
I can't see us averaging anywhere near close to that. Not many clubs in the world average over 50K and they have huge catchment areas, ours isn't that big IMHO

Yep, the reality is that we wouldn't see such high averages unless we competed at the top level year in, year out and looked like we might win something.

The same applies to the jawed eyes. They have a huge catchment area and it's only since the takeover that there haven't been enough season tickets to go around.

We are already averaging over 40K with Championship football and that's including pretty bad recent form. I think 50K+ would be easily achievable with regular top-half finishes, especially if you consider additional away fans and corporates in that figure (which you would).

In the PL but getting humped most weeks, and the SoL is big enough.

If I was a billionaire, was in charge of the club and Sunderland were really competitive in the top flight, I’d reconfigure the stadium.

South stand extension but a big single tier like the Spurs one. I’d knock a bit of capacity off the east stand and add corporate to the back of the stand and make the facilities spot on. 52-55k capacity.

We’re only three steps away from that.

Step 1. You become a billionaire
Step 2. You purchase the club
Step 3. You get it built 🤩

We should do both - next time replace them with white seats!
No way we will go back witn a majority of red again, failed colour experiment- twice. We aren’t the only ones mind Arsenals,Southamptons and Wembleys are all pinking up.

White seats with red fuck the mags, haway the lads and box section the badge in.

Also yes the recruitment is going to be vitally important too.
Stadium Needs a good clean and paint job as a minimum for next year.
I think they started with the industrial clean last season and backed down when realising it was all going to need to be painted, hence the hideous current rust spot appearance, so hopefully we get that completed this summer. I think they should use hammerite this time though will last much longer. Hopefully b and q can do a deal.

We have averaged 40k plus in the championship….if we can get a foothold in the premier league and all the hype it entails we can.

Thankfully sir Bob had foresight to build a stadium to hold 42,000 when our average attendance was below 20,000. Some of our fans need his vision.

Agree with south stand extension, make that part of the ground look modern especially the view from the new footbridge.
I'd extend the south stand, maybe next season if we stay up and sell out and offer cheaper tickets like Man City. I read (on here ) we have the steel for the south stand so it wouldn't cost that much in reality to go to 55k.
