Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

You can't have a lad in the middle of the pitch week in week out hoping to improve. It's an unforgiving league. Middle of the park a different beast in the Premier League. We need better. We have to be ruthless.

He’s a squad player at best in the league above. Final evidence of that was provided on Saturday.

Totally agree.i like Dan Neil but have severe doubts wether or not he will be able to step up to a consistent level in the premier.Dont want us to blow stupid amounts on has beens but hoping all options are left open if the hierarchy also have doubts that he won't be able to hack it.Unfortunately sentiment has to go out the window.

People need to understand, it's nothing personal against the lad.. Just we need better than him if we want to have a fighting chance of staying up. Neil will be out fought, outran, out thought in the middle of the park in the Premier League imo.

100% mate. Correct about sentiment...this is the best league in the world.

He’d probably be good enough to be on the bench, but if we’re starting games with a midfield of Neil, Rigg & ELF in the premier league, we’ll get battered week in week out.

The blueprint needs to be Nottingham Forest.

Not in terms of money or signings but style of play. They have low possession but are brilliant in transition and have pace going forward. That's easier to replicate than possession stuff without mega money.

We need a combative and strong CM. It also favour le bris system of not having the ball

Which is kind of what we’ve gone in the last 3 games.

We aren’t going to dominate anyone for at least a few years, should we manage to stay up. We need to be clinical going forward & resolute at the back.

Forest have 2 excellent centre backs who cost about 25m combined. Smart recruitment is needed. But I don't think it's impossible to have a go.
