Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

Was pretty clear from the way Sky were talking about him on Saturday that they were expecting it to be his last game for us whatever the result.

Best of luck for the future lad

He won’t be here next season like mate sorry

Im gutted about Watson

I understand jobe. But Watson should be here

I know Brighton are a well ran club but our best young talents shouldn’t be going there at 18 man

His form has been patchy but I’m convinced this lad will be a star, as someone else said before he’s also a big unit and when he fills out I think he’s made for the top flight

Very sad
There’s more to this and we probably won’t ever know the full story. I get the impression he might have been a bit salty about how much faith was shown in Rigg even though Watson is a few years older.

You can only conclude he had made his decision that Sunderland wasn’t the club for him and he would have eventually went for nothing if we dug our heels in.

You can say he would have been worth more if the deal hadn’t been done so early, but he might not have scored that goal if he didn’t have a point to prove.

We move on and have another success on the roster of academy products.

OTR are saying 40m euros with 30 upfront - thinks the price has been adjusted due to us being promoted and that Dortmund want it done quick
Said earlier that Dortmund want him for the FIFA World Club Cup in the USA which means that this could move quite swiftly.

And as most are saying we know what the model is and we knew he would be away.

He's been a great player for us and I wish him the best of luck. Hope he smashes it at Dortmund.

Fully expected the lad to be sold for big money this summer after the start he had to the season regardless of which division we ended up in.

Just wonder if the family might consider a season in the Premier league as being worth the experience.

I'm sure som e big clubs will be looking at trying to get him right now put of fear that a good Premier league season could see his value add another 10m easily (Delap as an example).

Hmm, trailed off a bit towards the end of the season, perhaps not as fit or strong as he will become, half a yard of pace would not be bad either

But yes he could be sold for a few bob.

Depends i guess on his 'new' wages.

I would prefer to hang onto him

Dortmund is a very smart move for him, if we struggle in the premier league he gets a lot of stick “he’s rubbish, he’s only playing cos of his brother” blah blah blah, at Dortmund his development goes under the radar, seems they’re a fantastic club for developing players and he’s going to play in Europe. I wish him all the best, he’ll need replacing quickly, we’re already a month behind the likes of Leeds and Burnley for our recruitment, I heard a while ago we wanted Tommy Doyle from Wolves also I wonder if Manchester City fancy loaning out James McAtee for a season.
Marwood and LJs cousin manouvered Pat towards us.

If he goes I hope he goes onto have a stellar career and wish him all the best. The boys a model of how a young pro should conduct himself on and off the pitch.
Aye. I saw him and their boy attempting to get to their cars outside Romanos last summer or the one before. They’ve the patience of saints. Ultra professional. Hendo was the same on Saturday.

He's going.

Probably to german team like Frankfurt or Leipzig.

He will want to try football in another country, while also working in a country known for playing players based on skill not age.

This will make him ready should he chose to move to italy or Spain. He can always return to England.

He wont move to Dortmund because of the comparisons with Jude.

That’s my opinion anarl. Young players in Germany are football orientated whereas a lot of younguns in English football come across as more interested in tattoos, cars, clothes, watches, being seen in the right clubs etc. The Bellinghamfamily are keeping their kids on a tight leash, fair play to them. Hopefully more families follow and the game itself is improved for it.
