Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

He has gone. 40 million apparently. That was the rumour going around the corporate seats today
I'd hope we had a sell on percentage too.
It's just not far fetched given what happened with Jude going to Germany and especially since Jobe is 19 with 2 full seasons under his belt playing multiple roles in midfield.

25m with a 15-20% sell on and another 5m in add ons based on appearances and international call up would seem like a great deal for a 19 year old.

Very well spoken young man who summed it all up perfectly. Sky sports couldn’t even resist mentioning the mags when we lifted the trophy we worked for. A credit to the club

Why not? You are a starter in the biggest league in the world. Sell for around 40m or keep and possibly have a generational talent to sell?

He could go to Dortmund or similar and get a taste of champions league football early or play a big part in our return.

He wasn’t great today. But he’s proved he’s going on to be a top player at the very top of the game. One more season Jobe.
Wasn’t great today? Really?

Jobe was absolutely superb today. Best midfielder on the pitch and ran the show for large parts of the game.

We can make a case now. There are things Dortmund can offer that we can't, but now there are very intriguing things we can offer that they can't, unlike Birmingham City circa 2020.

I reckon he'll stay for this next season, try his hand in the EPL. After that, he'll prob be off, but with a years experience in the premier league, and a fair bit more cash for us.

I don’t think there could many complaints if the lad goes to Dortmund. A huge club, a reputation for giving young lads a break, good standard of football.

And we’d do ok out of it as well. With my tin hat firmly on, with whatever money comes in for him we may be able to buy a more top flight ready player than what Jobe currently is. He’s not the finished article and in a side that might struggle, he may find it very hard and not get another opportunity to go to a club like Dortmund (and Sunderland may not get another big offer!)

If he departs, he goes in the best possible way with nothing but good wishes and happy memories.

My Question is did we secretly sell him before the playoffs started? A lot noise in the media just saying?

This is spot on…if we had a strong PL squad we could blend him in and get the experience to grow but in the PL we will struggle just to finish 17th this is the same with Watson going

Fabrizio Romano hinted that there’d been talks so I wouldn’t be surprised if there was verbal agreement

The lad has been trying to build his own name, and his own reputation separate to his brother then he signs for the same club that Jude did? And that will obviously create comparison etc.

I don’t get it.

Jude hasn’t done a season in the Prem, would be a perfect opportunity to break new ground.

But what do I know eh.
