Mayenda discussion thread

Ends the season with 15 G/A in 2,400 minutes, which is the equivalent of 26 full games. He only started 22 games.

Just turned 20 a few days ago, scored the winner in the 1st leg of the SF and the equaliser in the final.

He cost less than £1m FFS.

Some boy!
Last season he couldn’t get on the pitch for Hibernian.

He’s had some big improvement over last summer.

Just been looking at the importance of Mayenda's goals last season.

Of the 8 he scored during the league season, 5 of them decided the game in our favour, without those goals we would have been 9 points worse off, only just scraping into the play offs.

Then of course his 2 goals in the play off games were vital also.

So on top of his talent and the goals he has scored, the vast majority of those goals have swung things our way, match winners.

No matter what angle you look at things, this lad has been dynamite for us last season.

He’s got everything mind, pace, power, tenacity, work rate, first touch, finishing.

Wouldn’t be against him leading the line for us next season. He looks lethal.

800k wasn’t it? I thought he was finished after Stoke and Blackburn away. Some transformation.

I know we need to invest but he needs to start next season for me. Only way he will improve, and he will improve.

Most improved player this season by a mile.

I also wonder if he'd be able to make the transition straight up. He's young enough to still be improving and is an absolute beast now.
