Tommy Watson

I've never rated him. Happy to admit that and take the abuse. But we've essentially sold him for £200+ million with that goal. Fair play lad.

We have nothing to be ashamed about, nobody said he was a bad player, we criticised him for jumping ship from his own club at the first opportunity then for playing 2 of the lowest effort performances I have seen in a long time from a SAFC player.

A through and through fan means he would die on his feet for the club, not try and protect himself for his move. I get that he had to move eventually, at least if we were still in the championship, but I don't see how you can be through and through then jump ship at the first offer.

I'm trying to be objective but I cannot see a scenario where if I were a young lad playing my first 15 games for SAFC that I would leave, I'd be living the dream, my goal would be to become a legend in my home town or at least serve my club for a few seasons while I develop, then move on.

I just don't see him as a massive fan of SAFC, even looking at his interview after scoring the winner he wasn't that passionate, I would have been crying like a baby.
Horseshite.
You have no idea what the situation was so you can't be objective.

People have slagged him for all sorts of things and made up loads of shite along the way
I can guarantee you his family and him are massive Sunderland fans, just listened to his interview and I thought he was very composed after some of the unjust shit he's received this year.

It's mad like, he's gone from a player who would have never received a good word from 99% of us fans for the rest of his career to someone who will probably get a hero's welcome any time he plays at the Stadium of Light now, due to the difference in one kick of a ball.

A life changing moment.
. A lot of people had a lot of time for him.

9 months ago I was watching him take the piss down at hetton

Sheff UTD away and then Stoke at home he looked the real deal

Injured and the weird last day in the transfer window and then the sale and poor return to action soured the lot

He will be cloud 9 tonight but tomorrow he will be thinking fuck I might have an extra mil in the bank but I won’t be anywhere near that standard next year probably be trying to get Stoke into the playoffs
