Tommy Watson

hopefully the lad goes to Brighton and fulfils his add on clauses.

I also hope he isnt in the squad for the final, thats for the lads who have a future here.
So jobe, rigg, Mepham , Le fee etc should not play? All possibilities of leaving this summer
The website is compoete guesswork. It's also a newly promoted team you're talking about. They'll be in the bottom 3 wage bills easily. Go up even 5 places and the wage bill will probably double.

£146m divided by say even 30 players is over £90k a week.

Pure nonsense to say less than half the players in the PL are on under 30k
Aye, the wage bill will include everything chefs physios club shop etc but they are going to be normal wages. Take say 26m out for easy rounding and still looking at 120. Those sites are total guess work. No idea why anyone takes any notice

Back in 2017 the average passed 50k a week for PL players.

They say it’s around 70k a week now.

Just like when people were claiming we were paying some 1st teamers like £1000 a week.
The average is just that, it’s inflated hugely by the the very top 2 or 3 earners in each team.
I think the Watson claim was £60k p/m not week which isn't that outlandish.
Think someone said 48k week, which of course is bollocks.
According to this there is around 380 PL players on over 30k week, and around 300 on 30k or less. So yea, not 50%, but around 60/40.

The long and the short of it is that TW is on nowhere near what many on here think they are on.

What

You’re just making it up as you go along now.

I’m not sure why you’re quoting these random sites, it’s all pure guess work.

By all means don’t believe watson is on x a week now, but equally don’t start posting figures as fact when you don’t know

Thing is you don’t know what. And neither does anyone else. You can doubt it. But it ain’t gospel either way

FFS man, maths not yet strong point fella. One player on 300k inflates the average massively.

11 man team, one on 300k the rest on 30k.
Puts the “average” to 55k. The reality is that over 90% of the squad are on 30k even though the “average” for each individual is 55k. Get it?

Every player is a possibility of leaving, so maybe we should just not put a team out?

What you have typed is just a load of nonsense. Drivel. Watson chose to leave, and is definitely going to leave.

How is that in any way similar to Rigg *possibly* going to a higher club, to further his career - IF an offer comes along from a suitable club - and IF we don't go up probably making it more likely?

Either think before you type, or put the phone down, sunshine.

Possibilities, but all are first teamers, and all have a future. Watson has no future at SAFC passed June
Just glad you're not running the team.
You would play Watson?

Because he said the final should only be for people have a future here. Have a little read properly of what you reply to before you do so, otherwise you end up looking really stupid

You seem to be confused with players who will leave in the future, which is of course all of them, eventually. And a player who actively decided not to sign a new contract and signed a deal to leave mid season, after playing a handful of games…

For me he isn't near the starting 11, but him wanting away and leaving should solidify his place outside of the squad, for the biggest game of our recent history.

30k a week is a championship salary

There won't be one team in the premirship that pays one player ten times more than everyone else.

technically there will, city paying scholar wages and then haaland wages :D
No there won't. There will be examples of one player on a lot more than most. But not 10 times more than everyone. You quoted Haaland wages. You really don't think he's on 10 times the wage of all the others in the first team.

I do. But neither do you. You’re just guessing Watsons wages. You’re stating them as fact ya nugget 😂😂

TBF The club also chose to sell him at this time as they could have waited until the summer...
