Jack Clarke

Just don’t think that Ipswich move has suited him one bit. Watching him play inside left when he’s rebuilt his career from the touch line cutting inside hasn’t been pleasant. I hope he turns it round either there or somewhere else

I actually thought it would be a good move for the lad. Ipswich is a good club and given expectations would be low, I thought he’d do ok.

It hasn’t really happened though and at times he has looked hugely out of his depth.

I genuinely hope he turns it around but I do wonder if he regrets turning down the last contract offer a couple of weeks before the fee was agreed with Ipswich

I think it’s easy for a player to look out of their depth when not being utilised how they would like to be. You can argue and say the best players would still perform but I feel like at a crucial stage in his career, making that change to his playing style was just a huge gamble. I dare say if he came back here he’d perform better

He’s the kind of player you have to tailor your entire system to. He looked unbelievably ordinary under Neil at times in League One when we played around Ross Stewart. Didn’t even start the Play Off Final.

Me too. Said it many times on here but when he was up against a PL full back (trippier) he was hopeless

Can't belive people bring up that game as some kind of barometer. We were in a terrible place, what with Beale in charge and a real lack of leadership from the clubs board. There wasn't one player who looked like they knew what they were supposed to be doing that day. They were also up against a team that easily cost ten times more than ours.

Behave man.

He looked incredibly good in the Championship when we tailored must of our play to go through Amad and Roberts however.

Totally unsuited to how they played . Not his fault they played him out of position most of the time ,then sacrificed him anytime they had a player sent off .
