I’ve head from someone who knows him (take it with a pinch of salt) £46k per week. Known for a while but not really worth posting then (or now tbh)

When Watson and Mundle both came back from injury a few months ago, Le Bris said he was going to rotate them.
Bit of a shame that Mundle got injured again, then Watson's move to Brighton was announced.
It's one of the things this season that has disrupted the Manager's planning, but he never complains much, just get's on with it to be fair to him.

The average is massively inflated by the top 2-3 layers in a club. Over 50% are on less than 30. Watson as a junior player without sister experience wont even be on that.

Bear in mind, there were a few young uns offered new contracts despite having loads of time i.e. Ballard (twice iirc), Jobe and Rigg after he'd signed his what will have been an entry level senior contract.
