Book wasn’t great either tbh. I was really excited to get it for Xmas but was left a bit disappointed after reading it. Felt rushed and I couldn’t see Jimmy in it, just his ghost writer.

exact reason i didnt buy it, i really like Felix White too, but from the passages id heard it sounded like him telling the story of Jimmy, they read one bit on tailenders podcast and i thought Jimmy doesnt talk like that

I got it for Xmas, it was better than Broad's which was incredibly bland but still spoilt by White's overuse of descriptive language to try and paint a picture of every relevant event. It was absolutely not reflective of who Jimmy Anderson is.

I also then tried to listen to the Tailenders podcast and sacked it off after 2 because I just couldn't get away with Felix White.
 
Will they be brave and make a u-turn if Jimmy keeps performing and Woakes gets ruled out of the Ashes & actually pick Jimmy as the experienced seamer.
 
Went to his talk in Newcastle last night. Really funny in parts. A lot of stuff about the Aussies that quite revealing. I dont think Jimmy's the let bygones by bygones type. Watching him play down his knighthood 2 days after receiving it was brilliant.
 
was it busy? the Mrs mentioned the NHS tickets for good had them available for just the booking fee but i had a prior engagement
