*~*~* Sunderland v Coventry match thread *~*~*

I'd checked your score at 105 mins then forgot about it. Looked on twitter a few mins ago, saw Hale End trending. Knew it had to be big Dan Ballard. Saw his goal, and it must have been absolute bedlam in the ground. The noise sounded something else, metal clanging, screaming, the lot. Enjoy your night lads and lasses. One for the ages.
In the words of Eric Gates, enjoy the good times because there are more bad times than good times.

Not at all. We had a lead to defend and Coventry had no choice but to come out of the blocks.
It was going to be a battering because they had to have a live or die attitude. We had to be professional.
All about opinions but what if we had come out of the blocks and scored putting them under more pressure?
The commentator said they had scored more headed goals than any other team in the top four divisions
so inviting them to cross at will was surely a mistake?
Anyway the ending was unbelievable so bring on Sheff Utd

I wouldn’t say quiet Frank but by Christ… Had we been a front foot aggressive team I think we’d have ripped them apart as the crowd were champing at the bit and we’d have fed off it

The negative way we play just turns a big crowd into a disadvantage.

Lampard says Coventry were the better team over two games . How the hell can you claim to be the better team over two games and not win either of them?

Ballard was fantastic that was a real Charlie Hurley goal - and I've seen a few of them.

If we can start Mundle and have enzo in the number 10 position with Mayenda ahead of him, we will see some decent attacking football at Wembley.

Roberts I want to see on the bench next season as I’m fed up of him running down blind alleys. But hopefully he rocks Wembley!
He's running down blind alleys because Regis won't let the central midfielders get up the pitch to support him and offer an outlet. They key to everything is letting Neil and Bellingham have more freedom. Bellingham in particular should be bursting into the box and causing bother.
