Really surprised he wouldn’t want to considering he basically lives in London now but test cricket is brutal and he must not feel he has it in him

There is certainly talent to replace him, but the likes of him and Warner now gone, you need those rivalries

Also makes me realize how bloody old I am getting.

I'm surprised it's an immediate retirement, you would have thought he would have a farewell test/series either in this one coming up or at home in India.

I guess these days as cricketers play all year round and he's basically won everything, he's earned that right to go out on his own terms and spend more time at home.

Aye I'm on the final contract for a footballer age. Yet I still feel like barely an adult :lol:

I had a horrible realisation i'm somehow older than Jake Libby he looks a like he's 35/36.

I also just thought he was that age, just feels like he's been around forever an elder statesmen of the CC

Haha yeah

There’s nothing worse when a commentator is banging on about how much of a veteran the player is, and how he’s on his last legs, then you look and he is the same age as me!

Aye a few years ago now, but realisation hits im not going to be professional sportsman, now to do with the fact that im shite and pushing 20 clem 😄

Too old to even make it playing bloody Darts now
