New Music Releases Thread

As it is now, so shall it ever be. There are new releases on Friday from Blondshell, Car Seat Headrest, Eric Church, James Krivchenia, Jenny Hval, Lael Neale, Lapsley, Lights, Lucius, Model/Actriz, Propagandhi, PUP, Samantha Crain, Suzanne Vega, Wretch 32, Esther Rose, Rebekka Karijord and Kassi Valazza.

There may well be others. Uncut has been out for a few days and my subscription copy ain't arrived so I can't do my in depth research.
Model/Actriz, Blondshell and CSH for me as the standouts. Tho I believe CSH is some concept album

That’s up there with dry cleaning for the shittest band name ever award.

Arab Strap have an album out on Friday exclusively on bandcamp. Stripped back versions of some songs from their last album. They're playing the Boiler Shop (Newcastle) in August too.

Just listened to the latest release from Gnod & White Hills called Drop Outs III. It's lengthy at 2.5 hours but if you like a bit psychedelic/space rock I'd recommend it. I read one comment that likened a recent gig to being at a Spacemen 3 gig. Gnod are from Salford and White Hills are from New York. They play the Star & Shadow this Sunday. I may go.

Another week, another batch of new releases. On Friday we have albums from Arcade Fire, Billy Woods, Blake Shelton, Boyfriend, Counting Crows, Deradoorian, Kali Uchis, Little Simz, Maren Morris, McLusky, Sleep Token, The Head and the Heart, Thom Yorke & Mark Pritchard, Quinquis, Cole Pulice, Loscil, Nils Frahm, Kara-Lis Coverdale and Brian Bilston & The Catenary Wires.

Massively looking forward to the return of McLusky.

Another belting new release from The Rosadocs

Song to me sounds like something that Milburn would have cut from their first album twenty year ago but to each their own on what people enjoy, not my gripe here.

They've 100% done exactly what a load of noughties indie bands used to do there and try to overly polish a record that I bet sounded a million times better on demo. Used to do my head in when that was the main type of music I listened to when I was younger.
