I hope so. Folks have plenty of time to get a ticket if they want one.Imagine leaving yourself potentially without a ticket for the second leg because you wanted to see the first leg result… they might all be gone by the time the first leg kicks off!

40k is still an excellent crowd. You would probably find if we had gone into the game with some momentum the demand for tickets would be higher. Sadly i think some fans are sick of the performances and attitude of the players the last few games and genuinely doubt whether the players can raise their game. Blame RLB and the players for that not the fans.
Hopefully it’s a passionate crowd that stays till the very end and the early leaver casuals aren’t part of it then

You do wonder how old they are mind. When you get over a certain age worrying about how many people go watch a football match becomes a bit trivial. No one give a shite at roker park or when the Sol first opened it seems to be a newish thing over the past 15/20’years. I guess it’s since the internet took off so fans can have pissing contests about numbers.
The SOL was packed for years, and Roker and SoL never had the early leaver cancer we currently have

Tbf it's been much better since Leeds game which was horrendous. Imo.
The result matters more but a huge crowd can influence that. And it is just good to see the ground full.
