14 old just scored the 2nd quickest 100 in the IPL. 100 off 35 balls. Last 7 deliveries went for 36. Barely believable

I think it’s a bit naff, to drum down such an awesome achievement!Just shows how powderpuff that format of cricket is really. Let's see him do something similar in Test cricket.
Just seen him there on the news, the young man looks fabulous and seems to have a wonderful cricketing future ahead of him14 old just scored the 2nd quickest 100 in the IPL. 100 off 35 balls. Last 7 deliveries went for 36. Barely believable
I think he’s maybe a bit older than 14 mind, but still an incredibly good young talent
Now that comment does surprise meI think it’s a bit naff, to drum down such an awesome achievement!
Think they is time and place for that debate which has been done many times before and no doubt will be again. Now that comment does surprise me. Obviously he's an exciting talent but surely it's fair comment to question the standard of bowling or,more specifically, the ridiculous imbalance between batting and bowling when a comparative novice can attain such a rapid scoring rate for a lengthy period.
Admittedly, many enjoy it but how can it be a contest of skill with such a disparity between bat and ball?
And you're fully entitled to hold that view. As always with youngsters you need to temper their achievements with caution to ensure they stay grounded. In the context of what is essentially carnival cricket it was an outstanding achievement which has probably put him on the pathway to being a millionaire.Obscene the money that's thrown around in IPL and this event really highlights it.Think they is time and place for that debate which has been done many times before and no doubt will be again.
Don’t think this particular thread that time.
I think it the wrong time to do it on this thread rather than just stand back in amazement and say well done to the young lad for amazing achievement.
Of all the worlds greatest white ball cricketers in the same competition in same batting friendly conditions only one has scored a century faster
And this guy still school age!!!
Well that’s it, its all relative, fully accepting the view that the competition is heavily weighted in the batsman’s favour. And you're fully entitled to hold that view. Nobody's denying that he should be commended.. Mind whether he remains of school age is questionable. As is what is school age in his homeland. It's the fact that he can acquire riches at such a young age that concerns me- and I'd apply that in any profession. That's why one shouldn't become euphoric in such situations imo.Well that’s it, its all relative, fully accepting the view that the competition is heavily weighted in the batsman’s favour.
To score the second fastest 100 of 38 balls at the age he is.
in this particular competition that has over the years had the worlds greatest white ball batsman playing in it.
Deserves nothing but praise simple as that
