C.C. Durham v Yorkshire (h)

Think we all had high hopes for competing at the top this season. So far we’ve looked like relegation contenders
I don't think you can ever predict anything much when theres so much change to a side. Hugely dependent on rhodes and gay to come im and hit stride straight away, best player missing, captain change.. so much wholesale changes made i think it was always going to be a transition period

You know you're doing well when the gobshite Yorkshire fans are silent. Always a pleasure

Really is

Not there today, will get down tomorrow could be exciting

Yeah we have strengths and weaknesses

Wouldn’t mind a win soon just to keep our head above water

Another one I've not been able to see much of. But another one that on paper that looks just very poor.

301/1 after 75.2 overs
427 after 106.2 overs

So we lost 9/126 from 31 overs. That's a batting collapse worthy of a side that is staring at relegation so far.

A Durham win unless we pull off a superb bowling effort is now the least likely result.
Give over man…. a Yorkshire win is the least likely by far as they arnt even trying to win the game

I posted at the change of innings.

If we were scoring at 4s today then logic would go they could also score at 4s and get a lead tonight.

Them shutting up shop just means it will end in a draw with the rain tomorrow afternoon.

With the exeption of an injured Hogg, .... Raine, Potts and Doggett look devoid of any meaningful support not just in this game but all season. We look like a side who will struggle to skittle anybody and it felt inevitable that their two best batters would not go easily. Poor day with the bat has cost us and the initiative has been totally surrendered. Play tough tommorow, push them hard but if we take 15 points its a start .... then we need to look at our bowling attack .... Parkinson has to be considered , not a big De Leede fan but dont know where he is ?

Parky isn't the answer

Took 30 wickets last season and recently 9 in a second team game. Cant see which fifth bowler we can pick at present who is anywhere near getting close to that many wickets .

Possibly not .... but options do seem limited with lots of injuries ..... just feel we are light on support for our key bowlers .... anyway , lets hope we go well in the remainder of the game. Getting Lyth out helps ... ... Haway Durham !

You aren't going to take 20 wickets with a 3 man attack. We are desperate for a spinner to chip in aswell as an all rounder.

You still cant say a Durham win is theleast likely result when they are 120 ahead after 1st innings

Durham have to be odds on now. The fly in the ointment is Bairstow who is capable of anything. Barring any bowling injuries.
