Tommy Watson

He was poor, and probably shouldn’t start going forward. There was no benefit of releasing the news of the transfer now, an own goal by the club. In typical Sunderland fashion - Mundle gets crocked the next game.

Stayed as far away from the fans as possible at the end when the rest of the players were applauding us. Then scuttled off down the tunnel while the rest of the lads were still acknowledging the support.

The lad couldn’t give a fuck. Absolute tosse

Makes It even worse hearing this that he didn't acknowledge the fans after the match.

Said it before, we can't risk giving this lad a minute when it matters. Playing him now so we've only got 10 players we're worried about getting an injury is one thing, but he'll be a liability in a play off.

I get that he'll be worried about injury etc when he's got a huge job on his hands to impress Brighton, but I still think it's bordering on unprofessional. For a supposed supporter of the club I can't believe he's going through the motions to this level. If anything he could do with impressing because he badly needs men's football and, unless they loan him straight out, he's not going to be getting much of that next season.

Tbh he's not good enough to have this kind of attitude, it would worry me if I was Brighton

Watson shouldn't even be on the bench for a play off game. He can't be relied on to put in the bare minimum effort. A cone would have been as effective as he was today.

We would be better served playing a youngster like Tutierov or Geragusian if we are treating the games before the playoffs like pre-season.

I'm a bit surprised that Isidor hasn't been tried on the left recently, as a sub or starting. He played there at the beginning of the season. Since someone decided he's definitely a striker, he's never played on the left at all. I'd rather Isidor on the left than Mayenda.

Yeah he shouldn't be anywhere near the squad in the playoffs. We need everyone giving 100% and putting themselves on the line in every challenge.

Perfectly summed up. Complete waste of a shirt.

Probably an unpopular opinion but why the hell did we not wait until the season had finished before sorting the deal with Brighton or at least wait to announce it after the season was wrapped up.

It is turning toxic now because it is out in the open with games still to play.

Shit show once again.
its not unusual for a winger to be lost in action especially when you're struggling, but he wasnt looking too interested
I agree its an odd decision to announce he's moving at such a critical time...I wonder if he wanted to announce it or the club forced his hand somehow. Dont really see how anyone benefits from announcing it when they have.

Pretty sure it wasn't the club or him who wanted the signing to be made public

Be interesting to know the rest of the players views. It won't be going down well if there's even a small thought in thd group that he's not 'all in' on performing 100%.

Does Jobe get a free pass then?

To be honest I will miss Jobe next season as much as I will miss Tommy Watson.

Hope we keep Riggy for another season though.
In relation to Jobe, I can't see him cutting in the Prem either. If any scouts were watching, then his touch for their second goal will have them striking his name off the list.

He's a bairn who hadn't started double figures of games in men's footy until today.

I didn't see someone who couldnt be arsed. I saw a kid who is just back from a layoff and has lost his confidence.

RLB has played him cos a talented, natural LW is a great addition to our team for the playoffs.

While we've seen that he can be a game changer, it looks very unlikely he'll turn the corner in the next few games.

I’m literally watching the 1% club…..
I’d put you in that. He didn’t try at all……

Be interesting if he starts or comes on Monday
I’m sure that won’t happen.

I think that Regis has been playing him because he’s knows he won’t be using him in the play-offs and, frankly, doesn’t care if he got injured.

I think we’ll start to see the play-off starting 11 from Monday. 👍
