Three Crooked Men (1958)
Cheap little British B film produced by the Danzigers. Gordon Jackson is a former boxer, whose upward trajectory was ruined by a traffic accident. He runs a shop adjacent to a bank, drinking himself to oblivion and railing at his wife. Warren Mitchell is a meek bank employee who has made a stupid mistake and is going to appear in court. Three crooks decide to break into Jackson’s shop and bust their way into the bank safe through the wall.
As a heist film, it’s mildly entertaining. The best work comes from Jackson and Mitchell. Jackson is full of anger, trapped in a pity party, and Mitchell is a million miles away from Alf Garnett.
Canny. 6/10 for what it is.

A swift 95 minute tale of a women on her first date since the death of her abusive husband. But can she trust anyone in the restaurant? Meghan Fahy (The White Lotus) leads this well. A very passable thriller that doesn’t reinvent the wheel but is executed competently. It can only be a good thing this type of film is making its way back to cinemas after years of being dumped on streaming platforms.

Yeah I wouldn’t do that, it’s not a film that everyone will like. It’s a shame it’s not more widely available though.

Thought similarly. Nothing amazing and not the director's best work but an enjoyable night at the cinema to enjoy a non-IP little thriller with some fun camera work.
