England Players County Form

scotch

Striker
Arguably the 3 players most under pressure after poor winters have all begun the season poor.
Crawley 3 failures
Pope couple failures
Bashir going at 4 an over with not many wickets

I honestly don't think it will make a jot of difference to their places, not that I agree that it shouldn't.
This. I fully expect to see Crawley, Pope and Bashir against Zimbabwe.

Although Crawley’s place is becoming more and more untenable. Plenty of openers going well right now - McKinney, Yates, Haines, Walter… not that they look at the CC.

There’s no way Yates and Walter are international cricketers like

And it’s too soon for McKinney

Bashir’s first class average now above 50. Imagine him in Australia man.

He did do well in India snd pretty well the first summer but I tink it’s as stokes is such a good captain of spin, he’s brilliant, really think a spinner that can bowl 6 balls in the same spot would get wickets under stokes

Plus Bashir can’t bat or field

Not sure mate. Could CC not have a chance to bring him down? Get him blooded I say. Especially if its against lesser opposition.

I reckon Ben is the real deal like. He's faced 822 balls in FC cricket. Got 100 boundaries and 13 sixes. Impressive.

Regarding Spin.
I like the future too, lions being playing decent of late, Archie Vaughan and Farhan Ahmed both look like they can bat and bowl and would be a better pick than Bash. Even though I thought he did alright in India. Then there's the leggies Rehan and Taz Ali. They look decent but raw.

Rehan hasn't done much this season so far. So far really doesn't bode well for England from a spinner perspective.

I'd be sending selectors to look at Farhan every week. Carson might be a shout at Sussex.

Leach or Dawson would be nee good in Australia lets be honest so got to look at someone different.
