Ian Holloway

Get @Swindon On Tour a drink, he needs one after that

5-4 FT
He always knew they'd win it, never a problem. I think they're at the "you score one we'll score two" comfort stage.
To be fair, that's a hell of a result against a bang in form side.
Swindon are best side in that division, which is the next team at the top of the table to beat: bring them on!

Just shows how things can change in football. Our mate Swindon has gone to despondency to ? I'll let him describe his current emotions.

Seems like a great game today

What was atmosphere like?

Great result

Onwards and upwards!!

Atmosphere was decent enough with a good following from Bradford.
The fans continued to get behind the lads which Holloway commented on after the game.
We need the missing 3,000 back and as soon as these chancers go I’m sure they will.

Great to see Botan Ameen, our 17 year old now in the first team.
Chelsea tracking him. Hope he stays for another season,
Beat Grimsby next game and they could be 6 points off the playoffs with 3 games left against bottom half teams

Stranger things have happened

Too late mate.
Just a little too much to do.

I know someone said it couldn't happen. Does he still think the same?
Just a little too much to do.
I wouldn't be too sure about that, keep plugging away and see where you end up.

The missing fans will be back for the promotion push next season if you don't sneak into the play-offs this year.

Could still be playing you.
Going to the wire.

Well, I suppose congratulations are in order. The red card cost us. I can't think of a more disastrous example of imbecilic self destruction than Smallwood getting needlessly sent off. Thrown away 3 points and we now lose our most important player for the run in. You couldn't begin to make it up.

The lad Ameen is the most talented teenager ever seen at our level.

This has to be thr most painful result I can remember for a long time. In a matter of seconds we went from 80% promotion chance down to about 30%. As soon as he gets sent off we are losing that game.

One silver lining was sticking a tenner on Swindon when we were 3-2 ahead.

In relation to Smallwood; I put forward Elliot Embleton.

Ameen has a good future in the game if he's handled correctly.

Yes the despondency time of the season is upon fans where hopes can be ruined in a moment, but keep your chin up there'll be someone else that shoots themself in the foot so it's never over until it is. Football has the knack of doing that.

At least you had the good sense to hop onto the Swindon wave & make a profit

I honestly hope you go up.
The celebrations by the Swindon players in the face of the lad who scored the own goal a little over the top. Smith has already gone on record but saying the benches and players were at it all game - heat of the moment stuff.
Great to see a decent and vocal away following.
Red card changed it. Reckless tackle right in front of me and thought Glatzel’s leg was broken. You still scored 2 with 10 men. Our defending was woeful but Holloway went 5 up front !!

Holloway spoke to Ameen’s parents yesterday. Wants him to stay. Looks a real prospect at 17 as does Joel McGregor also 17 and in the first team (injured).
Great to see us giving our youth products exposure.

It was a crazy game and Kavanagh scoring almost 3 identical goals and yet ends up on the losing side - crazy.
I would have thought Alexander would have gone more compact at the back and midfield. Nothing at this level should concern you. Still think you can make the top 3.

Hope he signs a 2 year deal and we sell him at the right time for big money with a huge sell on clause. Equally with new ownership as we won’t see a penny.

Re: Swindon. I imagine there'll be a few clubs with an eye on some of your players, success brings that because the run you're on means players are doing their jobs right across the pitch so someone will usually take a punt on a bit of potential. Which is where the manger/hc comes into it over budget, replacements & player development

As a Bristol City fan I’m supposed to hate Holloway and Swindon. However, generally speaking I like to see clubs in our region doing well and don’t subscribe seriously to the rivalry.

The turnaround they have managed is pretty impressive.

Respect in football is a massive thing; some local rivalries you just can't get beyond mind.

What's happened at Swindon under IH is quite spectacular

Grimsby 0 Swindon 4

Holloway has got these lads on fire.
Made Grimsby look absolutely shite and considering they hate him he just sat for 90 minutes and watched his new club dominate.

Sadly just going to run out of games as the in form team.
I know what you mean, but keep going until the end while there's a slight chance 🤞. Another convincing win by the division's form team, Mr H will have enjoyed that as I assume you did today.

Six points off the play-offs. You're chances are slim but win your remaining three games (Bromley, Gillingham and MK Dons) and you just never know 😜 😲

🎵 🎶 It's a jolly Holloway with Ian 🎵 🎶
