Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

I think he has a very laid back demeanour so this sort of reaction was probablys guaranteed at some point. He's lacking a bit as a proper 1st teamer which doesnt help the cause.

Dream move to Brighton? Game is absolutely fucked if that’s a dream move.

So much wrong with the fact that a 19 year old who hasn’t even played 20 games moves on from his hometown club having barely had any impact, basically for money. Really sad.
The lad wouldn't even sign a pro for months as he was looking around. Only came back because he got an injury iirc.

Couldn't not give a single shite about Sunderland.

A Sunderland lad from a Sunderland family isn’t he?

Agitating for a move to Brighton when you can play a part in getting you hometown club promotion is poor. He will be a wealthy lad but you are right it’s sad times.

He will have plenty time to count his money next season because if he shows the same commitment at Brighton as he showed today he won’t be playing much.

Needs to be removed from the squad given his level of commitment as not good for the lads who want to here and are trying.

That’s modern day football, I’ve said numerous times , everyone who is being paid to be here do not care and if they can get a better deal they will leave

Watson and Jones were waste of shirts today.
Too much to soon for Jones I think, but it makes sense to give him a chance as a starter to see if he can force his way in to being part of the play offs while gaining much needed first team experience.

Not many opportunities in a season to give a player first team experience in a competitive game where a loss has zero impact.

I'm surprised at what an easy time he's getting, think I was the only one booing him today

Our fans just roll over and take it most the time

He's not even from Sunderland

Injuries perhaps? Maybe we aren’t winning a game and need a change, he is still a Sunderland player and if called upon we need him to step up. Is booing him going to help us in any way? It’s childish and frankly pathetic

No, I completely agree with the booing - that’s not on and is completely unnecessary.

I didn’t even know Riggy was playing he was so anonymous

We have players who can play there though - ones who want to be here.

Mayenda, Le Fee, Isidor, Roberts, Aleksic

Who?

Le Fee is a central midfield based on where he's played for his previous clubs. Mayenda is either a central forward or played on the right as an inverted winger, much like Roberts is.

Rigg is also a left footer so if he isn't playing through the middle, which he prefers, he too would be on the right.

That leaves Isidor who is basically a striker and Watson. Mundle is currently injured. Hence why we are selecting Watson, we really don't have anyone else, other than Le Fee, and perhaps, Le Bris would like to play him more centrally providing Watson can get back up to speed after being injured. Not to mention, Le Fee is returning from injury.

Lad behind me at the match today was moaning like fuck that we had 'announced' that Watson had been sold during the season. I said to him 'would you rather the club lied to you then and did not tell you he had been sold'?

The bottom line is the lad has chosen to leave against our clubs wishes. Not a lot we can do about that really and its a strange thing to blame the club for.

Personally I would rather know than be lied to.

No doubt the same lad would be livid if we had lied and not told the fans and it then comes out later that we knew he was leaving but said nowt. The club cannot win with some people who will find a way to be annoyed about stuff that the club cannot control regardless.

Even known they're not their formal position, surely it would be better to try different players there and see if anyone can actually do a job at LM? Watson should be no-where near the starting line up for the play offs on his attitude so get him out the team imo.

Attitude? I assume his attitude has been professional considering he has been selected. Had it not been, he wouldn't be anywhere near the team. The lad is 19, cut him some slack.

..apart from the 2 through balls first half and the cross onto Isidor's head...he created more in 45minutes central than Neil or Jobe have all season. His vision is excellent when he is played in his proper position.
