I understand why teams do it (or the reasons they try) - possession etc.

What's really f***ing laughable is when we (and other teams don't, noticed palace trying earlier) take goal kicks short, pass between defenders short, and 9 times out of 10 the opposition presses us and we end up launching it long anyway. Except it's later, the opposition is in shape and we loose it from the long ball :lol:

It's just like watching the shit Italian teams of the 90s. Slow & pedestrian build up. Loads of passes but going nowhere.

Watched some of the goals from Reids old team the other neet. Johnstone & summerbee on the wings, absolutely tormenting defenders with end product.

Absolutely bored shirtless today..Where's the press & everything gone?

Yeah it is shite to watch.

I'm telling myself it's because the starting eleven changes every game and kills any fluidity or understanding of the movement that players are making around them which is what our game was built on for 6 months.

Maybe I'm wrong and it's a change of style and we will be shite in the play offs :lol: but for now I'm hanging onto this.

Probably covered elsewhere in the thread but Roberts was good today. One of the only bright sparks. Le Fee too, and even Samed (shocking pass aside) gave us a bit more in midfield.

What a load of shite , we're in the playoffs , but the team is devoid of bite & passion , no chance if we keep this up !
 
Dreadful - too many changes for me - agree with rotating but when you've got 3 teenagers playing in midfield it's not helpful. I thought Watson demonstrated how committed he is today too - shouldn't even be on the bench for future games in my opinion
