CC : Durham v Warwickshire

Think Drissell has earned an opportunity. Parkinson didn't really do much last season. For now I'm happy Drissell being first choice (if that's a thing). Parkinson needs to up his game
Drissell is nowhere near good enough with the ball to be playing red ball cricket. It's a very strange one and speaking to people around the doors, the only explanation is that there must be something happening behind the scenes with Parkinson because on bowling ability alone, he's miles ahead.
Tried to post a picture of the Warwickshire squad, failed miserably.

Looks very weak though, particularly bowling wise.

Davies (Captain)
Yates
Hain
Shaikh
Mousley
T.Ali
K.Smith (WK)
Bamber
Simmons
Fernando
Bernard
Booth
Have to agree re:bowling. They look incredibly weak and we should be looking to bat first and go big.

Sadly after trying to teach her about cricket ahead of her first membership she still thinks WG Grace is this bloke.

You must be logged on to see media items
but it's understandable her being confused that W Rhodes is on the scoresheet

If there's an issue with Parki he's hardly have been containing the 2nd in the current game. And returning good figures.

Interesting selection decisions for captain and coach and it's only the 2nd game of the season. Incredible what a deserved defeat can do.
Doggett and Bedingham obviously come in and personally if he is considered fit enough I would play Hogg.
Will they go the 4 front line seamers and leave out a specialist spinner which would be very risky considering how dry it's been.
Also can't see how they can play a batsmen at 7 and have enough bowling options especially when we have a coach who hates draws.
Looking forward to it though this weather is a real bonus for early April.

Yes,the problem is caused without having a genuine all-rounder which Robinson would have served if his batting hadn't fell of a cliff. Hogg being called out of the 2nds game hints that he'll be playing.

i agree with on Parkinson, not been convinced by him, if anything bowling is on par with what we got from Trev, and Trev is by far a better batter

shame Rushy is injured and missing this fixture again, seems as if his body is letting him down now, been injured on and off for pretty much a year now

We have a selection of effective shorter format spinners but it's very difficult to see any of them running through a side on the last day of a championship fixture.
