Genuine question why if they are better players like it or not he wasn't good enough last season so we are trying to improve, ideally yes you want people who are local to play if good enough which they will but not at the expense of results.

Just need a mix. Didn’t need Rhodes and Gay for me. Just my opinion like.

Yeah a bit. I am not sure your age but I grew up as we got first class status and I know that happened to give north east lads games

Now we have been brilliant at it, but it should still be the priority, it’s literally why we exist

It probably is priority in a ideal world if people are good perceived to be good enough they will play if they perceive the people aren't good enough at this stage they might sign a player from another county.

Winchester school product followed by a season playing Aussie grade cricket. Durham appear to have abandoned sending academy products to Aussie in the close season. It was the making of the likes of Colly and Rocky both ability and character wise. Surely North will have contacts to re-establish this.

Understand James Minto received a level 2 (14 day playing ban) for misuse of cricket equipment by removing the bails with his bat when walking off after being given out LBW. Not sure if anyone else was reported.
