Forthcoming gigs.

Been desperate for a ticket for Pixies at City Hall for ages cos I completely missed their tour announcement and it sold out instantly, been checking the ticketmaster site every day for months to see if any were gonna pop up on resale but was only ever the odd one in the balcony available. Couple of standing tickets popped up this morning at face value + fees so finally grabbed one...

Night before the pissing play off final isn't it? be down in London the night before the match if we get there, fuck sake man.

I have tickets...will be on Twickets most likely if we get through to the final.

I enjoyed it, its a pity he didn't play a couple more songs.

Glad he said he had a good night, and he seemed to like Sunderland/Seaburn judging by his social media content yesterday.
Yeah looked like he was enjoying the atmos! Nice one, I think he may know the pop recs people so has been here a few times for various things.

Top loaded, much like the album which tails off drastically after Thunder Child.
The Spirit of man with Phil Lynott and Brave New World are GREAT on the album. Admittedly the Red Weed section was always my least favourite bit but was meant to be moody and atmospheric and a contrast to the rest of the album.
Really excellent gig. Boiler Shop was rammed
Exactly what @King Kareoke said.

Gan down on the morning if we get there.

should be canny for all you Bunnymen fans -

We're pleased to announce that Michael Head & The Red Elastic Band will be supporting us at The Piece Hall, Halifax on 9th August.

This is up next for me this Sunday night, not my usual kind of thing but they are managed by a friend of ours (mackem) so a shameless plug to any blues fans who might fancy it:

Was at Temperance Movement in the Boiler Shop tonight. Absolutely cracking gig. Great band
Great band and good to see them still knocking about. Saw them second on the bill to someone at the Hundred Club donkeys years ago.
I must get to some of the town venues next time I'm back from exile. My go-to places used to be Annabels, The Bay and The Rink, which shows my age!

My gig schedule had Lizz Wright at the Barbican a couple of weeks ago; Sultan Stevenson's album launch at The Purcell Room last week; Cinnelli Bros at The Boston a week on Saturday then Gregory Porter at the RAH end of the month.
Music is my major source of joy and positivity in these Godforsaken times.

Interesting you mention Cinelli Brothers when I just posted about them this afternoon (see above). Seen them before? Any good?

Not seen them, but and their Blues/Rock is right up my street so I've played their stuff a bit on Spotify. If you do that, Spotify notify you of local gigs, which is how I sorted tickets. The Boston is a local pub to me; been there loads and even played there once! Looking forward to it.
