Totally agree about the academy doing a great job, it’s the one thing I’m struggling to get my head around the most atm; when we lose a player like Watson, I am so used to him being a general talent that I get annoyed. But recently we have had another player waiting in the wings to come through and replace him. Granted some have been signed like Mundle, Hume, Cirkin, Alese, but they were still developed by our academy before breaking the first team
 

He would of been in this position a few years ago if it wasnt for his injuries stunting his growth.
 
Needs 20-25 starts next season to progress I think. He won't get that with us so should be out on loan for half the season at least.

Then decide whether he has a chance.
 
I thought he looked crap to be honest. Same as the last time he got a look un.

Wasn’t a bad foul to give away with them on the break but if he did try it again it’s a bit naive must have missed it.

I think he’s looked steady enough in the brief appearances we’ve seen, calm on the ball but takes the safe option like lots of younger lads do to begin with. Have my reservations he can push to be a starter here but the club and Régis clearly rate him.

Started well, praise for the lad, then….

What mentality creates the need to come on a chat group for supporters calling our own players, sometimes even creating threads specifically to say one is dogshit or similar?
Sad.
 
Needs some pies down him and more time on the weights, but promising. He could probably do more to learn from the likes of brown to preempt physical challenges.
