Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

That’s why neither Real or Liverpool have announced it….but we and Brighton have

The reason for signing is so no one else can jump in. Liverpool have done the same with the Valencia keeper, Chelsea with 2 lads from sporting lisbon
Do they sign a contract or a binding letter of agreement, if there is such a thing?

If we play him it can work two ways - he may want to show the Brighton fans what he’s got and try to impress or he might phone it in and have a shit attitude and then the Brighton fans will think ‘who this little wanker we’ve signed.

Doubt there'll be many, if any, of their fans tuning in tbh.

I think we need to get behind him now that mundle is likely out for the season. Its frustrating that he has had his head turned but if he can rediscover his form in that stoke game he could be the difference between promotion and not.

It could be said that we know the reality is Jobe has as much chance of being here next season as watson.

It just seems barmy that this has been announced now and there'll likely be a reluctance to play him even though we very much need his contribution, more so now considering Mundle is injured.
Makes the timing even worse, we’ve been strong armed by the likes of Danny f***ing Graham and that little piss weasel Harte. We all knew he was likely to go in the summer and it seemed his head was turned but now the club and the manager find themselves in a difficult decision. Reggie clearly in two minds about his mental state and commitment or think he’d have came on against wba. Now we’re in a position do we play a player that maybe isn’t all in or risk le fee coming back from an injury and out of position or play another player out there like Wilson or mayenda that will do a “job”. If this was kept quite till the summer or sorted out the moment our season ended then the club and manager wouldn’t have found themselves in this position. We’d have played Watson without giving it a second thought.

Same as rigg but they are all in as of now I think the manager has massive doubts over him mentally.

It’s all about looking at the bigger picture now. All that matters is we get promoted. So now that Mundle is knackered we are going to have to play Watson. Hopefully the lad wants to end his career here on a high and see it as pay back for all the years we trained him through the academy. First hint of a bad attitude and he’s out though.

Which ever side thought it was a good idea to announce it instead of waiting until the end of the season wants shooting with shit.

I was frustrated when they announced it and taking Speakman at his word, he showed little desire to stay.

But, we need him now. He needs to play as he's the next best option on the left. Put him in, hopefully he'll handle the odd boo and maybe help us out until Mundle returns...
I’d play him tonight no problem, we’re likely finishing 4th anyway so little pressure in our remaining games.

See what his attitude is like.

I was in the "leave him out of the squad" camp, but with the Mundle injury we have very limited options now. Have to just treat him like a loan player that we've now got for the last 6 league games and playoffs.

Anyone booing the lad needs their head testing

End of the day Brighton have pursued him for quite some time now, are now establishing themselves mid to top PL team with outside chance of Europe and he faced serious competition from Mundle even if he decided to stay playing at a lower level for considerably less money

The crazy thing to me was announcing it now. With Mundle injured surely Tommy is our best option on the left? Playing Wilson wide and Mayenda down the middle does not to my eyes look as threatening- and of course we need options

But booing the lad would be nuts

"Splitter"

Anyone know him? Has he 'dumped' us after 12 years or the club has? And will they be more astute when it potentially happens again with our other young players. Players who the club have developed for over a decade. Only to be sold at the 1st opportunity, for peanuts.

It would be nuts, unless he's leaving at the 1st opportunity and zero loyalty to the club that raised fim.

Got any info mate?
