Look North. Again.

Just had Shearer on bbc breakfast talking about the cost of running the Alan Shearer centre. Cue talking about the carabao cup and how their fans 'deserved it' and showing yet more footage of the the ' parade '. Every possible opportunity. Got a feeling this will last for years

It sure will on and on and on and on and on

I still haven’t seen any of it 😎

Hopefully it will be another 70 years before they have a reason to have another

The BBC lunchtime news did provide one laugh today. On the national news they were on about charity's struggling and they featured Shearer talking about his.
Then it switched to the bit where they preview what's coming up on the local news and Carol Malia starts with
'More on Alan Shearer talking about his charity'
I'm not sure they thought that one through

Have to say I've had enough now . I'm a radio listener and like the local news stuff but I feel like weeks in now and I've switched off everyday. If the BBC is funded by license payers then why does it only represent Newcastle when they were commissioned as a north east radio station. If I'm bored on the journey to Norwich I'm thinking of making a complaint .Disappointed from Durham

I’m done with local news completely, their shameless bias was awful. Only watched it occasionally anyway. It’s all blissfully passed me by.

If I need to, I’ll check the wear section on the bbc website

Watching Look North yesterday before the match. Showed the goals from the Bristol game. They decided to edit Mayenda's goal, one of the best goals in the world this year, so that it just showed him shooting at the end. How bizarre. Can guarantee that if that had been the Mags it would have been replay after replay, maybe even with Chi Onuuwura demanding parliament acknowledge it with an award.

I also wonder about their coverage of basketball.
What percentage of the NE population actually go to basketball games? Does it warrant regular coverage on a NE news show?
Would it get the same coverage if that team was from somewhere other than Newcastle?

The irony is, its from Sunderland

"Sunderland Eagles score a hoop against the run of play"
