Jack Clarke

Not sure there's many players would turn down a PL club offering them x3 wages. Worst case scenario you're back where you started 6 months later. Good luck to him.

He's a brilliant Championship player but I don't think there'll be many PL clubs looking at him in future. Mundle has the physicality to cause those teams more problems, even if he hasn't got Clarke's finesse in the box.
Yet.

Development? He's 24 now man, he won't develop anymore that's it's for him , he'll be one of the best in the championship or league 1for the rest of his career. Can't get a game for Ipswich and they are quite frankly pathetic
Agreed. Clarke's the same age as Haaland and Foden. Older than Saka and Cole Palmer, or even Nicholas Jackson who people slate. No PL team is cutting him "development" slack.

Dunno why some seem desperate for him to fail. He did a great job for us, didn't act a dick and moved on for profit.

If anything if people are saying he isn't good enough for the Prem then it just means we let him go at the right time for the right price.

Still only 24, he'll get another crack at it before his time is done..

The people saying he’ll be class in the championship next year, unless Ipswich sell the players who are currently playing ahead of him, I’ve seen Szmodics, Broadhead & Encisco all starting while he’s been on the bench, he might not even play in the championship

The Jack Clarke obsession will move on to Tommy Watson next year.
Why?

Watson has done fuck all for us in comparison to JC, and gone running to the first big pay cheque.

£10m for us is great business, well done the club, and good luck to him.(He'll not find stotties or panak in Brighton mind)

Don't really care what happens to him now though.

I’ll keep an eye on Jack Clarke & Watson like. It’s interesting to see these players who go to clubs for big money & see how it works out.

As it is, Jack Clarke is doing a great job of giving a real life example of if you’re on the up, pick your next move wisely. Or, progress with us.

As it stands, as a club, we have sold JC and Watson for £25m plus add ons, and have still progressed..

Missed JC a bit, but Watson is no loss.

Great business imo.

Aye, Watson might turn into a great player & we might wish we had him in future. As it stands, Mundle is head & shoulders better. Wish he could stay fit though

£10m for a player we won’t miss & might not make it, I can live with.

You can argue he's now had his chances, 1st one at Tottenham where they paid decent money for him from Leeds (bit like Watson going to Brighton) and now with Ipswich

You can’t blame the lad for wanting to go and have a crack at the PL on better wages. McKenna’s tactics have not suited Clarke at all
Exactly, however I'm staggered a few people still don't get it
People on here acting like they wouldn't take the money. Watson is from a very deprived pit village.
Some people are f***ing mental man. Life is all about looking after yourself and your family
