Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

If a player is not willing to sign a contract what is the club supposed to do? The bloke doesn’t want to stay. Do you risk him being a bad egg in a very tight group which would upset the squad morale? Thank god you are not running the football club
We’ve sold with indecent haste. Disappointing.

So £10m, that covers the Isidor signing and Le Fee loan cost. Leaves us with around £5m.

Wonder where we spend it?
I was talking to my son the other day he said if we don’t get promoted we sell 4 or 5. For around £80 to £100 million and we only reinvest about £30 million on replacements

Won’t be a miss. I genuinely think he won’t be as good as everyone thinks. I’ve watched him quite closely when he’s played and his overall play is nowt to get frothy over. Weak as piss in the tackle. 10m? I’d take their arm off

I'm not a clapper by any means, in fact I don't care much for their blinkered views. However, I'm happy to give the club the benefit of the doubt on this one. If a player wants to leave then you just have to let them leave and get the most money you can for them. The indications are that Stewart, Clarke and now Watson wanted to leave. It's frustrating and in the short term selling our best players sets us back, but on the whole we are edging forward, it's slow going but we are undoubtedly strengthening. With the money, there's a good chance we'll sign somebody who is currently better.

Not exactly a big part of a wingers game tackling like.

Tommy is fast, direct, a decent dribbler and knows where the goal is too. I'd prefer to keep all good local lads. £10M is a decent fee and no doubt as per usual we'll spent it on 3 or 4 players unless we get promoted.

He’s lightweight and can’t defend

I know I always judge my wingers on what they are like at tackling

These people don't have solutions, they just want to moan.
