Feels like everybody’s getting a bit swept up in a Brighton love in here.

They’ve done fantastic, but like 3/4 of premier teams, they’ll have their turn circling the plug hole when a few things don’t go right.

Issue with mine & your posts are, you’ll say Brighton are mint cos they’ve done mint, it’ll be a few years down the line whether we can assess whether this was good/bad business for SAFC & Watson & this board is fantastic at forming an alternative opinion based on hindsight.

I’m gutted that he is going as I rate him very highly after watching his progress in the U21 and now the first team .
Let’s face it though , if it were me and I was offered a deal like that , I’d be off like a shot . He could have a serious injury or loss of form and end up skint in league 1.

That's just a bit bizarre coming out with this news in public at this stage of the season. I'm sure a lot of deals get shaken on before the window opens, but they don't get publicised before the season ends.

Congratulations to the club for creating some negativity when it really wasn't necessary.

No issue with any of it. It's football. Brighton have announced a few deals lately. This is just another. People would have been angry either way if it was filtering through with no comment from the club.
Nothing particularly angry about. I mean we had jobe attending games here while he was still at Birmingham. That was worse imo

Like it or not, Brighton are miles ahead of us and can offer him more than we can. Shame we couldn't have held on until the summer and changed his mind, if we go up. But there you go, best of luck to him.
