Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

The sheff utd game he tortured them. Av just said on another post a couldnt see mundell getting back in till he was injured.
Just cannot get me head round fans thinking getting shot of him is acceptable business and not questioning why a young local lad dosnt see his future here (if thats what narrative is put out).
Bang on mate. Sure one of Watson's mate's from the academy was sold to Brighton last season aswel? Robertson? He might have had a word aswel with him?

Am glad he has come out and made a statement before everyone thinks he is refusing to play or something. He's only just signed for them hence the announcement now. Strange I agree but 10 million for him when he has obviously said he doesn't want to sign the new deal , and gives him his chance of a massive pay rise. Shame as he is a local lad, but let's be honest he is behind Mundle when he looked on form, and is defo behind him on his performances since his injury where has looked out of sorts, but has only just returned to playing TBF to him.

He isn't going on strike to force a move or refusing to play and is only just about to turn 19 so I hope everyone lays of the lad when he does come on for us between now and the end of the season. He could play a massive part in us getting promoted

£10mil for someone who's played less than 20 games for us is a good deal I think, it's not like he's been a world beater. Definitely showing promise but we've got Mundle in that position atm

Please don’t pick him for rest of the season - will be scared to get injured anyway and we don’t need anyone playing who’s not fully committed.
Surely the other way round.

Now the deal is done, we don’t need to worry about him getting injured and jeopardising a move.

Can’t really get excited about club announcing something we all knew.

This X 1000000000

He hasn't been arsed since January imo. Isnt interested whatsoever in being at the club and hasn't been since he was 17 and took months to sign a pro deal.

He shouldn't see 1 more minute of action for us.
I agree I hope the little prick fails miserably.

I genuinely think we need to start covering ourselves with these players, e.g they sign a pro contract, that entails them to a pro contract for however long, but if they play a certain amount of games that it automatically gets extended by so many years.

10 million is chump change nowadays for a exciting English talent, this is a bad deal , put it in context we spent 3.5 on Rusyn
You can only offer 3 year pros max at 17, but 5 years at 18

However I think Watson hype will just be hype I can't see him developing in to a player who play for Brighton, if they are challenging for Europe
