Wife was at a show at the Empire last night and said town was bouncing. Certainly was when I was through for the match but I headed home straight after for a change yesterday. Good to see Millwall fans through the town and enjoying it, rarely see many away fans but these had big groups and it was good crack.

Spoke to a load of Millwall fans who were staying over they love the craic and prices of the drinks in Sunderland and think it's a brilliant place they come here every season.

Aye for Millwall home last season we made an all dayer of it after match and stayed out. Got talking to a group of them at about 9pm in Life of Riley who were doing exactly that and said the same as what you’ve said.

Keel Tavern pre-match. Disappointing amount of bar staff compared to usual. The two little crackers grafting their bums off but took a canny while to get served to the point we ended up moving to the Holiday Inn.

I think one of the the good things about the runs are they start/finish in the city centre. Means people can stay afterwards and celebrate their achievement with plenty of options. GNR you're stuck on a windswept outcrop with nee facilities particularly close by.

As I read that I got the image of the fair from father ted in my head 😄
