Dan Neil

He’s the hardest player to replace in midfield that we have
If he was injured for any length of time then people would realise how important he is to us.

Jobe and rigg have done brilliant for a lot of the season but need to score more goals and create more.

Roberts the same.

Neil is in the team to sit and dictate play.

He’s the one who runs the midfield and is the one who constantly looks for a forward pass through the lines and starts attacks.

He nicks the ball back so much more than he’s given credit for.

People have this obsession that he’s not a captain cause o nein does things off script and is a fans favourite but I know who I’d rather have in the team if I had to choose.

And collectively, we categorically do not that for anything like prolonged periods of games or consistently from game to game. And when teams cede possession to us and sit in shape, our midfield have very few ideas on how to break teams down. It’s give the ball to a wide man and hope for magic.

Actually in the modern game he’s probably the easiest to replace. A ‘quarterback’ role player is common

I think it’s much harder to replace Jobe as he is a freak who has every single aspect for a top midfielder, you won’t get someone his size who also has his ability

Wish h

Wish he'd show it more. Last few games he's been a passenger. Should be knocking opponents off the ball and charging forward like Yaya Toure. But he walks mostly.

Dan Neil is a good player but he isn't irreplaceable.
He is an integral part of the team. If we sold him for £15 we need a player to come straight into the team and play his role.
Bearing in mind we wouldn’t spend it all on his replacement, how would we replace him with?

Jobe had a great start to the season but not been convincing for a while now. Flits in and out of games too much for my liking

The Dan BOTs are getting crazier by the day. The delusion is strong with this one.

Aye linked with Liverpool, you mention it all the time to say how much some over rate Neil yet you do similar with jobe and rigg

@SAFC 2012 is the only poster who agrees with you on Neil. Does that not tell you something
Have you confused me with someone else? I never mention the Liverpool as it's not worth mentioning. If Liverpool were ever remotely interested he's be there already.

Not a chance man. Probably doesn't even get in Boro's first team ffs.
Stop being silly Chris. You have decided to die on the hill of 'Dan Neil isn't very good' respect to you, you've stuck with it for a good few years, even though, I'm sure you know you are wrong. But it makes you appear silly and clueless, and I'm sure you aren't.
