A very worthwhile listen. Tim Bostock comes over as a visionary but a realist. Durham are very fortunate to have him.
Fortunate to have a bloke who wants to pair up with MBS?
I agree the rest of the interview was interesting though.
They'll be renaming the stretch of the Wear next to the ground. I hate this PIF takeover of the region and its only the start. Its not going away and will get worse.Might as well kiss goodbye to any kind of friendly neutrality that Durham CCC previously had. They’ll become an extension of NUFC. I suppose this is the ‘investing in the region’ the Newcastle people spoke of.
Like the John Hall era with bells on
Very likely the same for me and my wife. I've been very vocal about the state of cricket in this country for a long time. I won't be able to support this.I'm making the most of this season and trying to see as much Durham cricket as possible as I know that the inevitable is just around the corner and when that time arrives that will be the finish for me.
It's been mentioned that we will become an extension of NUFC but they exist in name only now. We'll just be another brick in the wall that is the Saudi sportswashing project.
He doesn't like County membersI probably won’t go either… but I’m sure Tim Bostock won’t be bothered about my £40 a year versus his Saudi millions
They will be bank rolling it.They’ve obviously got their filthy eyes on any future Hundred franchise that may play at Durham.

The cynic in me suggests that will be the team’s colours.Place will be decked out in black white and green. On the banks of the river Wear. With the players banging their bats to the Blaydon Races after a win.
Exciting stuff
