Spurs 38 m bid for rigg

January wasn't good enough. We might as well forget about Huggins, he's not kicked a ball in 16 months. Alese too. Both look fantastic but are never available. Hjelde looks very poor, Josh Anderson has looked awful (seen both mentioned as full back cover). Instead of signing a striker with a broken back, cover at right wing and full back are blindingly obvious. Maybe Speakman isn't allowed a right winger though after giving Poveda a three year deal.

Yes the quality has improved massively from League One, well we'd surely hope and expect it too. Don't forget also that the two bits of good / top quality we've signed recently are RLB "signings" in Le Fee and Isidor. Speakmans signings this season include a number of misses (as well as the hits), as they always do:

Connolly - crap and gone
Samed - crap and will be gone
Abdullahi - never played a single minute
Poveda - looks like a big problem
Danns - broken back

The hits:

Browne
Mepham
Moore
Aleksic (probably, if he got game time)

Hopefully the hit to miss ratio is starting to improve, particularly from the army of overseas kids like Pembele, Bennette, Lihadji, Hemir, Ba, Aouchiche, Mayenda, Rusyn, Dajaku. Of those 9 maybe only 1 will have a decent run and impact in our first team, two have already left. Seelt and Triantis came in around the same time and I guess there's hope for them two also.
He may have been lucky with Meyenda & Triantis but you could argue that with our limited funds we shouldn’t be bringing in any player that we have to loan out pretty much strait away.

The reality of Speakman's job so far laid bare right here.
Amazing how many have a myopic view in this regard.
Clearly it's driven by performance which is fair enough - 4th is excellent.
Let's see what happens now that we've stalled ahead of the playoff's and who people then see as responsible.

Absolute no brainer if they're offering that kind of money, we have to accept it.

End of the day he's not really impacting the team that much at this stage of his career. Give us just half of that to spend in the championship and it's 2 excellent players

Not always how it works as we’ve seen with the Stewart and Clarke money.

I’d rather we just kept him, the money means nothing to us as supporters. He’ll be a PL quality midfielder in 1-2 years and we, as fans, are better off having him stay.

Browne a hit 😂

He’s only got 2 years left on his contract.

37m could really kick the team on IF it's reinvested right. If we spend 10m of it on three 17 yr olds, who are bought for further down the line, then its selling the clubs China to pay for the lights to be on.

Even after a few year of ownership, I'm still not sure if KLD has the proper appetite or desire for the kind of spending the next level would bring. Player sales give us deeper pockets, but would it equate to us actually spending the money on some ready made quality players needed for the next step?...I'm still not sure it would tbh.

Going off his second half season form I’d be snapping Spurs’ hands off. Imagine if we didn’t get promoted but that money got us Le Fee on the perm.
